A group of scientists from Japan developed a fundamentally new machine learning algorithm that allowed their artificial intelligence models to visualize a person's thoughts, "peeping" at what the individual thinks.
In their study, Japanese specialists demonstrated different images for 10 weeks to volunteers whose brain activity was recorded by a computer. Data from the brain activity of one group of subjects were recorded directly at the time when they looked at the visual images, and the brain activity of volunteers from the second group was recorded only when they recalled the image they saw, trying to imagine them in their heads.

After these two stages, all the information collected with the help of volunteers was transferred to a network of in-depth training that visualized people's thoughts, deciphering the data provided. As a result, artificial intelligence created images resembling real images seen by experimental people.

The company FloydHub, engaged in machine learning, has developed a neural network based on the pix2code algorithm, which can create ready-made sites in one image. To work with the algorithm, FloydHub's employees uploaded screenshots with certain HTML tags to it. The result is a database that allows you to create new sites using existing templates. The network is constantly trained, and the result is improved.
The whole process of creating a site is divided into three stages. First, the source image in JPEG format is uploaded to the neural network.
The network recognizes all elements in the picture and converts them into HTML and CSS code.
After that, the algorithm "produces" a ready site with the code written.
More details can be found on the project website.

The next patent, posted by Samsung on the Internet, showed a potential two-way smartphone with a "wrapping" screen. Judging by the image, the rear display takes up almost half the size of the front main screen, which displays most of the applications.
Experts came to the conclusion that this patent, most likely, hints at a potential concept phone in the short term. Previously, Samsung had already submitted security documents for the exclusive right of its inventions for other concepts, including folding screens. According to representatives of the South Korean company, its developers intend to release a flexible device next year.
Last year, Apple filed its own patent for the iPhone's display, LG also experimented with unusual displays that "wrapped" the top of the mobile device. Most importantly, experts emphasize that the prototype created by engineers turned out to be working.
Previously, "Topical News" reported on artificial intelligence, which will equip in the next two years, all Samsung devices.
