A new version of the smart rear-view mirror will be available for purchase in China on April 3. The declared value of the novelty is $ 158. The world's largest solar energy project will be implemented not in Europe, not in America, or even in China, but in Saudi Arabia. The country, rich in oil and playing a key role in the cartel of its OPEC exporters, seems to have taken a decisive step towards the goal announced in April 2016: to overcome oil dependence by 2030.
Implementation of the ambitious program Vision 2030
This step was signed by the 32-year-old Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud. Investments can reach $ 200 billion
"This is a big step for all of humanity, he is brave and risky, but I hope that we will succeed," said Prince Salman, assessing the signed agreement. It assumes that as early as this year about 5 billion dollars will be invested in the import and installation of solar batteries, so that in 2019 two solar power stations with a capacity of 3 and 4.2 gigawatts will start operation. They will immediately become the largest on the planet.
Of these $ 5 billion, $ 1 billion will be provided by the Softbank Vision Fund, created by the Japanese billionaire in 2016, of which Prince Salman is also a partner. The Fund has already invested in projects in the US, India and Europe. The remaining 4 billion will provide project financing.
In the future, funds for new investments, as expected, will largely be able to generate objects put into operation. Thus, part of the electricity produced is planned to be exported. In total, investments in the reorientation of Saudi Arabia to solar energy can reach $ 200 billion by 2030.
