Participants in XDA-developers forums found in Sony smartphones a screen mode with a frequency of 120 Hz. Enable it with standard methods is not possible, for this you need to flashing the smartphone for a specially modified assembly of AOSP. This will reduce the quality of the camera, but will enjoy a higher frame rate. Some of the users who tried the regime say they feel the difference between it and the traditional 60 Hz, others say that nothing changes, and the difference in perception is explained by the placebo effect. Apparently, Android does not yet work very well with 120-Hz displays, so Sony turned off the mode.
Initially, the hidden mode was detected on the Sony Xperia XZ Premium, where it is only available with a resolution of 1080p, but was later found on most Sony top-end computers and even in some budget devices. The complete list looks like this: Xperia X, Xperia X Performance, Xperia XZ, Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ1 Compact, XA2, XA2 Ultra. (The novelties of the XZ2 series have not been tested yet.) Recall, at the moment, only the Razer Phone and several generations of Sharp smartphones are officially supported.

ET News experts, having conducted research in the field of mobile devices development, said that leading brands in the end of 2018 will bring to the market folding smartphones. After 5 years, the release of more than 50 million similar gadgets is projected annually.
As the researchers note, many leading companies either develop folding machines, or are engaged in registering patents for innovative technology. Large companies already by the end of this year can surprise the market with the release of such smartphones. This is evidenced by many facts: Samsung experts, for example, 80% completed work on the creation of a mobile device with a folding screen, Huawei is preparing to present such a device in late 2018, and Apple is seen for the registration of patents. Lenovo, Oppo and ZTE are working on the technology of a folding display, but are not yet ready to release branded bending devices.
Experts quite positively estimate the receipt on the world market of gadgets developed on innovative technology. According to Strategy Analytics, in 2019, the output of 700 thousand folding smartphones is expected, in 2022 - about 30.4 million models, and in 2022 they will be released in the amount of 50.1 million units.

In connection with the constant growth of the population and the number of industrial enterprises, China needs an additional amount of fresh water. Researchers from China State Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) are working on this problem. They are engaged in creating a large-scale climate system, the use of which will increase the amount of precipitation in the Tibet Plateau area by 10 billion cubic meters per year.
The Greenland shark was the oldest vertebrate on Earth
The future system will consist of tens of thousands of specialized installations located in the Tibetan mountains. These installations will burn solid fuel and together with the exhaust gas streams, silver iodide particles will be emitted into the atmosphere. Climatic stations will be located mainly on the ridges of mountain ranges, where the steady streams of wind, called the South Asian monsoon, are blowing. The ascending currents will raise silver iodide to a high altitude, where rain clouds invisible for the time being will form. According to the plans, the coverage area of the new climate system will exceed three times the area of Spain.
The dates and the price of visiting the Aurora space hotel for the first tourists are announced.
The climate system will be managed in real time according to data collected by 30 specialized meteorological satellites that control the situation even far beyond China. In the case of a lack of capacity of installations in the mountains, traditional methods, drones, airplanes, missiles and artillery will be used to "seed" the clouds. Note that the "seeding" setups themselves were developed by specialists in the field of space technologies and some technologies of modern rocket engines were used in them.

"At present, we have deployed about 500 climate facilities in Tibet and other areas for research and experiments," CASC representatives write. "The data we collect looks promising and allows us to hope for a positive result."
It should be noted that in case of successful implementation of this project, China will become the first country in the world to implement such a large-scale climate control technology. Go to the Main Page Add a comment
