Huawei received a patent for the original gadget - a smart watch with a "smart" strap. It greatly expands the functionality of the device.
Over the technology in the company worked for several years: as the portal Letsgodigital clarifies, the last application of Huawei is the continuation of two patents filed in 2015 and 2016.
The "smart" strap has two sensory zones located on both sides of the watch case. You can activate them with svaypa (whispering) or long pressing. After that, a virtual keyboard appears on the strap.
The patent states that you can also manage the gadget with various gestures, turns, shakes, inclinations in different directions and so on.
For example, if the user launches an online race on the watch, the movement can be controlled by pressing the upper part of the strap, and braking by clicking on the bottom.

You bought a brand new smartphone. Before you start hammering it with applications, contacts and various entertainment content, take a little time to disable some unnecessary features.
Automatic screen brightness adjustment
Virtually all modern smartphones are equipped with a light sensor on the front panel. Thanks to it, the smartphone automatically adjusts the display brightness to the surrounding conditions. This function is quite convenient, but, as practice shows, it does not work correctly. First, almost always the proposed brightness is more intense than necessary for comfortable use of the display. Secondly, the self-tuning function itself does not work as fast as we would like. Finally, auto-tuning can conspicuously consume the battery. Therefore, first of all it is recommended to go into the settings of the smartphone and in the "Screen" section turn off the automatic brightness adjustment.
Garbage preinstalled software
Your new smartphone, for sure, contains at least one application that does not interest you. This may be unnecessary to you a service from Google, such as Duo, or frank semi-advertising garbage from the operator or company-developer of the smartphone. Even worse, many of these pre-installed programs are active by default and consume energy. To get rid of them, go to the "Applications" section in the settings and delete all unnecessary. Those programs that for some reason can not be deleted can be simply disabled in the same section.
Animations and various decorations
If your new smartphone is very powerful, you can skip this item. But if you have a modest budget, you may want to release as much of its system resources as possible for useful tasks. You can do this by getting rid of unnecessary embellishments.
To start, disable the scroll effects in the home screen settings. Flipping the screen-pages can look beautiful, but it can also quite heavily load the smartphone. Turn off the live wallpaper. They not only load the device, but also mercilessly plant the battery.
Vibrations and sounds
By default, the new smartphone is configured in such a way that the input of each text symbol is accompanied by a sound (by a click or by a whistle) or by a short vibration. This provides minimal feedback and creates some illusion of working with a hardware keyboard. But like this feedback is not all. The soundtrack can be very inappropriate if you need to dial and send a text message without drawing too much attention. Vibration feedback is an unnecessary consumer of energy.
Targeted advertising
If you use an Android smartphone, you automatically use Google products, including the company's ad networks. Applications that have an ad serving feature use your advertising ID and broadcast ads based on your interests and search queries. If you do not like this kind of surveillance, you can refuse it. To do this, go to your smartphone settings, in the "Accounts" section, find the item "Google" and tick off the option "Disable personalization of advertising".
