The developers of robots for sex were wondering about the appropriateness of training such machines to refuse customers and protect their "rights". The experts' raising of this topic was provoked by an incident that occurred last year at the fair in Austria.
As part of the event, experts demonstrated a model of a sex robot, called Samantha. It turned out, because of unlimited attention from men who wanted to use her services, the car got damaged. In particular, she lost two fingers on her hand. Despite the fact that the repair did not cause any difficulties for the developers, some of them put forward the following assumption: in the case of an increase in the implementation of such robots and lack of control, moral and ethical problems may arise in society. In addition, the risk of danger for the machines themselves will increase.
Expert opinions on the question "Should robots have the right to refuse customers?" Are different. Some support this decision, noting that since the machines they create are similar to humans outwardly, it means that they should be similar in behavior. Others called these doubts "prejudices" and suggested abandoning such ideas.
