In connection with the constant growth of the population and the number of industrial enterprises, China needs an additional amount of fresh water. Researchers from China State Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) are working on this problem. They are engaged in creating a large-scale climate system, the use of which will increase the amount of precipitation in the Tibet Plateau area by 10 billion cubic meters per year.

The future system will consist of tens of thousands of specialized installations located in the Tibetan mountains. These installations will burn solid fuel and together with the exhaust gas streams, silver iodide particles will be emitted into the atmosphere. Climatic stations will be located mainly on the ridges of mountain ranges, where the steady streams of wind, called the South Asian monsoon, are blowing. The ascending currents will raise silver iodide to a high altitude, where rain clouds invisible for the time being will form. According to the plans, the coverage area of the new climate system will exceed three times the area of Spain.
The dates and the price of visiting the Aurora space hotel for the first tourists are announced.
The climate system will be managed in real time according to data collected by 30 specialized meteorological satellites that control the situation even far beyond China. In the case of a lack of capacity of installations in the mountains, traditional methods, drones, airplanes, missiles and artillery will be used to "seed" the clouds. Note that the "seeding" setups themselves were developed by specialists in the field of space technologies and some technologies of modern rocket engines were used in them.

"At present, we have deployed about 500 climate facilities in Tibet and other areas for research and experiments," CASC representatives write. "The data we collect looks promising and allows us to hope for a positive result."
