Scientists have long known that the frequent use of mobile gadgets can cause stress. A recent study by psychologists has established the easiest way to reduce stress from using a smartphone.
The scientific world has long discussed the danger of using smartphones for the psychological health of people. Daily alerts on a mobile gadget cause a person stress because of the choice: whether to review a new notice or continue to do the current job. In addition, the more often a person is distracted by a smartphone, the greater the concentration of his attention and productivity of work.
Psychologists do not call for a complete disabling of smartphones, but offer an alternative option - to set up receiving notifications more than three times a day. A study was conducted where one group of volunteers received alerts from different applications three times a day, and the second group received no notifications at all.
As it turned out, the complete absence of notifications, too, can cause concern - the experiment participants constantly checked the phone for notifications. At the same time, a group of volunteers with a limited number of notifications received a feeling of calm and less distraction on smartphones.
