In the port of Netherlands Rotterdam, the construction of the world's first floating farm for cows is coming to an end. The aim of the project is to provide the city with a large number of dairy products.
This is reported by the BBC.
The construction of the farm involved a Dutch real estate company, Beladon. The objects are planned to be launched by the end of 2018.
It is assumed that the size of the farm will be 40 meters in length and 32 meters in width.
Beladon Farm, among other things, will consist of three levels, each of which will have its purpose: on one level will be the cows, on the other plants will be grown.

Engineer Beladon Peter van Wingerdin came up with the idea in 2012, working in New York on a project of floating housing on the Hudson River.
Construction of the farm began in 2016.
