The People’s Liberation Army of China successfully tested a new generation intercontinental ballistic missile intended for launch from submarines.

The rocket - presumably JL-3 - was launched from the submarine on June 2 at 4.28 local time from Bohai Bay near the Shandong Peninsula, writes Defense Blog. The launch was noticed by numerous fishermen and eyewitnesses on land, a video of the rocket’s flight appeared on the net.
The third-generation solid-fuel ICBM JL-3 is designed to be deployed on submarines, has a range of 12-14 thousand kilometers and is capable of carrying up to 10 individual-directed thermonuclear warheads. The first test of the rocket took place in December 2018.
The launch of the main nuclear submarine, the carrier of the JL-3, is scheduled for the mid-20s.
