The new sight works great – in comparison with traditional analogues, repeated shots could much faster.
Businessman Mike Mansfield has developed and patented an improved iron sights for the pistol. The idea is underpinned by four semicircles which are in proper alignment sighting devices form a two-piece circle.
With each new model pistols, the sights are smaller and harder to use. Producers, apparently, forget that the sights must be clearly visible for faster repeat shots.
However, Mike Mansfield of Sarasota, Florida, knows how to solve this problem. He recently patented a new two-point sight, which consists of four semicircles, two on the rear sight and the front sight.
When sights are aligned shooter sees two colored circle. As you can see from the pictures, the front sight is much wider than the modern equivalents and fills the gaps in the slots of the rear sight. To develop ideas and patent acquisition Mike spent four years and $12 thousand.

Yet Mike has a few plastic prototypes, on which a semicircle is drawn with nail Polish, and he is now looking for a manufacturer who would cut them out of steel. Prototypes installed on pistols HK VP9 and the Sig P226, but the first line of the sights he plans to release for Glock.
The new sight works great – in comparison with traditional analogues, repeated shots could much faster. This is because people more accurately notices the coincidence of the divisions than the relative location of the one division to another as in a Vernier scale.
However, the sight works, and with some modifications, namely fiber inserts instead of paint, he has a chance to become the new standard among mechanical sighting devices.
